9: Barry and Catherine Cohen on Bartering

In today’s episode, we are excited to interview entrepreneurial rockstar couple Barry and Catherine Cohen who, after realizing how much they enjoy bartering, started their own barter exchange. Listen in for why they think bartering can be so useful and how to make it work.

Barry & Catherine Cohen have been married 19 years and are the proud humans of 2 cats, Anakin and Naboo. They have been in business together since 2003, running successful barter exchange for 10 years before shifting their focus to creating management software for the barter industry. Most recently they created a podcast called Together 24/7 where they interview other couples like themselves who are together in business and in life. They have developed a crash course to help people start their own podcast in only 8 weeks. And finally they have created a series of mastermind groups, both in-person and online, to help small business owners get past any issues that are holding them back.

  1. Amazing how quickly things change. In this podcast I am still fighting the idea of having backyard chickens. We’ve since got four baby chicks that will be producing eggs by spring. Catherine won. I lost. But I think we both win in the long run.
