The Seed School Edition
By Greg Peterson
What do we have without seeds? Is a question to ponder, but for not very long as the answer is we have nothing. Seeds are the basis for vegetative life and really all of our food… as in, if we are not eating plants, we are eating animals that eat plants.
In 2010, when my friends Bill McDorman and Belle Star started teaching Seed School, I was very excited and was actually lucky enough to be asked to speak at one of the first Seed Schools. However, I did not attend Seed School until the third week of June 2011 and oh my what a week it was. We learned about genetics, seed saving, seeds and human history, the future of seeds, plus there were many hands on experiences including doing a germ test. The entire week was amazing and I gladly paid $700 for the experience.
So needless to say I was shocked when Belle offered the entire Seed School experience to our Urban Farm Lifestyle Newsletter readers for only $400. The next Seed School is in Prescott Arizona at Prescott College starting June 1. I have to tell you this is something you don’t want to miss…so here is the deal.
Do yourself a favor and go to Seed School. It will change your life.
