Welcome to Your New Urban Farm Lifestyle Newsletter

UFUpdatedBannerChange is a grand adventure and change can be challenging, but a life without it would be so stagnant! The key amid change is to create and foster those things that bring a sense of peace to our lives, which is exactly what I have been exploring for myself. This can be a tricky balance, but as I have been setting out on a more compelling time of discovery, it has given me the exciting opportunity to create what is next and our Urban Farm Team has come up with some very fun projects.
For starters, we have developed The Urban Farm Lifestyle Newsletter (the communication you are reading now), which is a collection of educational articles and information to assist you in creating your own urban farm. With your help, our team will be compiling stories, tips and articles all about living the Urban Farm Lifestyle. We will bring this newsletter to you every other Tuesday, but you can certainly connect with us via email, on our blog, and at the10,000 Urban Farms Project in the interim. Content will include gardening, farming, nutrition, small livestock, canning…and oh so many more sustainability topics.
More breaking news includes the launching of our first Urban Farming App in the next few weeks. This App will include a series of educational Guides on topics such as keeping chickens, saving seeds, composting, vermiculture and so much more.
In this issue you will be introduced to Urban Farm Team member, and superb writer, Catherine Crowley, who will be discussing many of the reasons we should grow our own food. As Urban Farm Lifestyle Newsletter grows I look forward to introducing you to some incredible people and sharing thought-provoking ideas for you to implement on your own urban farm. A key team member assisting with this effort is Tayler Jenkins, one of my extraordinary students from Arizona State University. She will be bringing you informative content, informational tips and serve as our newsletter editor. Have some ideas that you would like to share? Send an email to Tayler and ask for our writer’s guidelines.
We look forward to having you join us on this grand adventure.
Your Urban Farmer
