We’ll examine the global framework governing seed ownership, control, and distribution.
We’ll explore the United Nations’ International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA), adopted in 2001 and in force since 2004. This legally binding agreement seeks to ensure conservation, sustainable use, and equitable sharing of benefits from plant genetic resources.
