Any one in the Atlanta area know of a way to stop/reverse peach leaf curl at this time? I know that it needs to be sprayed at leaf drop and before first bloom. Just hoping that there might be a mid-season remedy

This link has a great deal of info on root depth needs of popular garden veggies. http://eartheasy.com/raised-beds-soil-depth-requirements.html#b

It depends what you plan to grow, but I would consider loosening the soil a little with a pitchfork or shovel, but don't feel you have to spend a lot of time on that. If you are using a nice loose planting mix (versus native soil) to fill your beds, your plants should have enough room with 16 inches depth. Some veggies prefer up to 24 inches, so check what your plants requirements are.

Looking for help in setting up my raised beds (ZERO previous gardening experience! In fact, most of my plants die :( ). Do I need to prep the ground that the bed will sit on? It will be 16" deep, I am just worried if the roots of my veggies get too long/deep, they will get stopped in their tracks once they reach the lovely AZ dirt/sand/dust/soil we have here....Thanks in advance!
